Privacy Policy
Slot Golf (“Slot Golf,” “we,” “us”) provides a multi-tenant platform — a website and mobile app — that golf teams use for qualifying, live scoring, stats, rosters, and schedules. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email nkuszyk@calpoly.edu.
Who controls the data
Slot Golf is a service used by golf teams. The team (typically the coaching staff) is the owner of its roster and competition data and controls what is entered. Slot Golf processes that data on the team's behalf to provide the service.
Information we collect
- Roster & profile information entered by coaches: player and coach names, photos, hometown, class year, biography, and any external rankings.
- Competition data: rounds and hole-by-hole scores, qualifying results, tee-time groups, schedules, and courses.
- Access & session data: the team access codes used to sign in and a session token that keeps you signed in. We do not collect passwords.
- Purchase & onboarding information (website only): when a team signs up, the team name, optional coach name and email, and any season details or spreadsheet a coach chooses to share for data migration. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Basic technical data needed to operate the service (e.g. requests to our servers). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
How we use it
- To run the platform: rosters, scoring, leaderboards, stats, and schedules.
- To authenticate team members via access codes.
- To process a team's subscription and set up its branded site.
- To provide support and communicate about the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.
How data is shared
Roster and competition data is visible within the team's own branded experience (some pages are viewable by anyone with the team's code or link, as the team configures). We use a small set of service providers to operate Slot Golf — including Supabase (database, storage), Stripe (payments), and our hosting providers — who process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if required by law.
Children's data
Slot Golf is used by high school and college teams and is operated by the team's coaching staff. It is not directed to children under 13, and rosters are entered and managed by coaches. If you believe a minor's information has been provided without appropriate consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention & deletion
We retain a team's data for as long as the team uses Slot Golf. A coach or team can request export or deletion of their team's data at any time by emailing nkuszyk@calpoly.edu. Coaches can also export their data themselves from Admin → Export Data. Players who want their personal profile information removed should contact their coach or email us.
Security
Data is stored with reputable cloud providers, access is scoped per team, and uploaded migration files are kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
